Gold Raw Wildcrafted Sea Moss

Gold Raw Wildcrafted Sea Moss

Some brands of sea moss sold in the US are farm raised and some are even put through a bleaching process, resulting in the removal of vital nutrients.

Here at Jacob's Harvest, our sea moss is wildcrafted from off the coast of the Grenadine Islands, just off St. Vincent, the mainland. Our divers dive into deep waters with tanks on their backs to ensure that they're able to access the sea moss that grows on the rocks for maximum mineral content. It’s wildcrafted, air dried (not sun dried) and imported via cargo jet. So, you can rest assured that this super sea vegetable is fresh and maintains its integrity.

For Raw Preparation:

Rinse Sea Moss thoroughly with water. Allow Sea Moss to sit in water and lime for 10 to 15 mins. Rinse off lime water and let sea moss sit in room temperature water for at least to 24 hours. Add water occasionally as Sea Moss will swell and will more than double its size as it absorbs the water. Please avoid using tap water.

Blend the soft expanded sea moss with the water it was soaking in, making sure not to discard that nutrient filled water. Add water if the gel is too thick when blending. Place Sea Moss gel into a glass jar or container and store in the refrigerator.

Slightly Cooked Preparation:

Bring water to a boil. Pour the hot water unto the pre-washed sea moss. Cover and let the hot water slow cook the sea moss. Leave for up to 24 hours, blend the contents with water and store in the refrigerator.

Add a scoop of sea moss gel to smoothies, soups, teas, baked goods, stews, homemade nut/seed milks, oatmeal, nut cheeses, and deserts!
